As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Eastin Hotel Penang brought much needed aid to the Cat Beach Sanctuary in Teluk Bahang.

A team led by its director of sales and marketing Ms Choo Chan Chan made a visit to the sanctuary to hand over the assistance and take part in some voluntary work to upkeep the centre.

The commendable gesture reaffirms the hotel’s unwavering commitment to community and environmental stewardship through the impactful CSR initiative.

This collaboration with Cat Beach Sanctuary is a profound opportunity for us to give back to the community and raise awareness about two pressing issues, animal welfare and environmental preservation. The gesture by the team from the hotel also embodied Eastin’s dedication to fostering meaningful change through active participation in animal welfare and environmental conservation efforts.

Guided by the visionary leadership of Professor Teviot Fairservis, the event was meticulously planned to amplify the importance of compassion and collaboration. 

Team members from the hotel engaged in activities that celebrated both the sanctuary’s tireless rescue efforts and the pristine beauty of Teluk
Bahang’s coastal environment.

The day began with a heartfelt donation of supplies, reinforcing Eastin’s support for the well-being of the sanctuary’s many feline residents. 

This was followed by a curated tour led by the dedicated Cat Beach Sanctuary team, shedding light on the sanctuary’s mission, the challenges faced in caring for rescued cats, and the impact of community contributions in sustaining this haven.

Participants were deeply moved by stories of the rescued cats, many of whom have been given a second chance at life thanks to the sanctuary’s tireless advocacy.

The day’s activities culminated in a beach cleanup that highlighted the importance of protecting Penang’s natural heritage. 

Volunteers diligently collected waste and debris, reflecting Eastin’s ongoing mission to inspire and encourage environmentally conscious behavior.

By bridging corporate and community efforts, Eastin Hotel Penang continues to champion causes that create lasting impacts.

For Eastin, this CSR event is more than a single day of giving, it reflects a steadfast commitment to creating meaningful connections, elevating community well-being, and safeguarding the planet for future generations.
