Offering a gastronomical run-up to Visit Malaysia Year 2020, a number of hotels and restaurants in Langkawi will be promoting their Malaysian cuisine at their premises to make the stay of visitors a memorable and also make it a “delicious” one.
Participating hotels in the promotion are Adya Hotel Kuah, Adya Hotel Chenang, Aseania Resort & Spa Langkawi, Resort World Langkawi, Berjaya Langkawi Resort, Ombak Villa Langkawi, Holiday Villa Langkawi, HIG Hotel and Bella Vista Hotel Kuah.
Among the participating restaurants are Nasi Dagang Pak Malau, Lapaq Ayaq Cafe, Siti Fatimah, Kota Mahsuri, Ulu Melaka Travellers Cafe and Telaga Restaurants.
The promotions is currently underway and will last till end of next year.

Also present was the general manager of Aseania Hotel general manager Jazmy and Adya Hotel general manager and vice chairman of MAH Kedah / Perlis Razmi Rahmat along with a host of guests.
“I would like to congratulate the participants in taking the initiative to promote the cuisine of the country as tourism is one of the main contributors to the economy.
“Each of the various races in our country has their own unique delicacies which can appeal to the taste buds of the tourists from all over the world.
“Our motto Visit Truly Asia Malaysia says it all. I also like to convey my appreciation to Langkawi Tourist Association for their efforts in supporting this promotion,” said Musa.
Earlier, Dass paid tribute to hotels and restaurants in Langkawi who have shown support and collaboration from various tourism stake holders.
“Everyone is willing to pull their resources and their time to ensure the best is showcased not only tonight but also to all future guests to this Island of Langkawi.
“MAH Kedah has always been supportive of all activities that’s been planned by Tourism Malaysia, LADA and all other bodies involve directly or in directly towards promoting not only Langkawi but Kedah as a whole.
“We at the Chapter believe that we have to start the ball rolling and fill up our hotels first before pointing fingers at anyone else saying this agencies and that agencies is not doing enough,” he said.
To this regard, he also added that they are engaging in talks with airlines to bring in more flights to Langkawi.
