Seasoned hotelier in Penang Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai celebrated his 55th birthday in style at the Laguna Bay Beach Bar recently.
He is the general manager at The Lone Pine, Penang, A Tribute Portfolio Resort and the Hotel NEO+ Penang.
Gathered at the lovely evening were some 100 friends from the hospitality industry and other sectors.
Among them was Amari SPICE Penang general manager Noorazzudin Omar, Star City Alor Star Hotel Eugene Dass, Kevin Cheah from Iconic Hotel , Mei Hotel Hotel manager John Kim along with several consul-generals of the various countries.
Guests had a chance to dine with some of the popular local food and drinks. The highlight of the night was the “birthday boy” cutting his cake with a fireworks display.
After having thanked his friends and guests from far and near, Gulab took time to mingle with them while posing for several group pictures.
