Check out Dandy, which offers tasty Mediterranean cuisine in a comfy setting for the whole family and friends.
What’s more, they also bring a range of pastries and Lebanese coffee which comes served in a unique brass kettle.
Founders, Jamal Haddad who hails from Lebanon and Michelle Yeo are passionate about Mediterranean influenced range of dishes and good food.
“For us, the term “Modern Food Culture” is not just a fancy slogan. It is a vision to create a lifestyle where friends and families can gather to relax, unwind, enjoy each other’s company over good food and forge authentic connections in a welcoming space that feels like home.
“It is also a conducive platform to nurture young talents to bring out their best in a place where world food cultures intersect with our local roots,” said Yeo who is also the general manager.
Among their popular dishes are the Dandy Lamb Rice, Dandy wraps, Charcoal Grilled Roasted Chicken with sides along with their Lebanese Coffee and handcrafted drinks and desserts.
While there, if you happen to catch Jamal himself at their outlet, he will take you on an educational journey on the benefits of Lebanese coffee and the art of drinking it too!
Meanwhile, with Jamal and Yeo being lifestyle enthusiasts with a passion for creating a unique dining experience, their vision was to create an everyday restaurant that would offer modern and innovative cuisine, while still maintaining a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
Dandy also offers a menu aimed to blend international flavors and ingredients with a local twist, resulting in a range of unique dishes that cater to a wide variety of tastes.
“We also offer a range of vegetarian-friendly dishes to cater to different dietary preferences. In addition to serving delicious food, Dandy outlets were specifically designed to be a welcoming space where people could gather to enjoy good food, drinks, and have a good conversation.
“The restaurant’s stylish and comfortable setting adds to the overall dining experience and has made it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike,” she said.
They often attract families, groups and walk-in clients at their outlets.
Currently, Dandy has outlets in the Arena Curve (Penang), Queensbay Mall (Penang) and Setia City Mall (Shah Alam) and hope to expand to new destinations soon.
