This Christmas, the Lone Pine Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Resort is putting out a real treat for guests to usher in the festive season with family and friends.

To launch the celebrations they invited children from the Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

On hand to welcome them was general manager Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai and his team members.

Guest-of-honour for the evening was Dato Yeoh Soon Hin, Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman and chairman of Penang Port Commission and his wife Datin Joelyn Teoh who is the Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Chile in Penang.

The children from the Salvation Army rendered several Christmas carols to get guests into the festive mood. 

In his welcoming address, Gulab shared his joy to see so many familiar faces at the wonderful gathering to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.

“In this time of joy and sharing, not only we reach out to friends and family but also to the needy. As part of our CSR responsibility, we are honoured to have the children from the Salvation Army Penang here this evening”, said Gulab.

Meanwhile, Yeoh shared his delight in seeing my friends at the ceremony 

“The Lone Pine Penang is a cherished landmark in Penang. This Christmas Tree lighting ceremony is more than a tradition, it is a beautiful reminder of how celebrations like this bring us together, transcending cultures and creating bonds that unite us as a community.

“Tourism plays a pivotal role in showcasing the unique elements in Penang to the world and the Lone Pine Penang has been a steadfast partner in promoting the charm and allure of our state”, added Yeoh. 

VIP guests later joined hands to launch the Christmas tree lighting ceremony with the loud applause of the guests and children.

Guests celebrating Christmas at the resort will be treated with a plethora of festive favourites during their Christmas Eve buffet dinner (Dec 24) from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. It is priced at RM218 nett (adult) and RM109 nett (Child). They also have an early bird booking with a 15% discount.

On Christmas Day, they offer their lunch and dinner buffets at RM168 nett for two persons.

The buffet counters will offer a selection of festive roast specials for everyone to enjoy.

As for the New Year Eve countdown, the Lone Pine Penang brings its buffet dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at RM250 nett (adult) which includes a bottle of beer or a glass of house wine.

They also offer their poolside New Year Eve party from 9pm onwards with a Retro theme at RM88 nett per person along with a drink and snacks.

Guests will be treated to a live band and deejay performance as they usher in the New Year.
