The SixWine diner and restaurant which used to be located along Hutton Lane has now moved into new and bigger premises.
Renamed as SixWine & SixCruise, they are still along Hutton Lane, (No 133, Hutton Lane, George Town) but offer a more bigger and conducive dining experience.
They hosted a soft launch ceremony yesterday with a selection of fine wine and buffet selection.
The opening is also just in time for the Chinese New Year celebrations.
On offer are a wide range of boutique and organic wine range from France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Australia
Facilities on the ground floor include casual dining space for lunch/dinner, bakery, kitchen, fusion Mediterranean and Western cuisine kitchen run by chef Osamma (Sam) from Egypt.
Meanwhile, Chef Wong is in charge of bakery, sandwiches, cakes, desserts, pie’s, croissants among others goodies. He was formerly with the Mish Mash bar in Muntri Street George Town.
The ground floor offers cosy space for customers wanting a quick lunch or dinner while the first floor welcomes guests for a more laid back atmosphere with sofa seating and a fireplace too.
Then there is the Wine cellar and bar for guests to unwind. They also carry a variety of whisky like Singleton, Royal Salute, Japanese whisky, Hibiki, Tia Maria, Glenglassaugh 30 years.
There is also a private room which can accommodate around 8-10 guests which has a “minimum spend” requirement.
They also plan to complete their cigar and whisky outlet on the third floor. They carry cigars mainly from Cuba, Mexico, Chile and Argentina. The price range is from RM35 to RM120 per stick.
