Great news for Penangites.
Telecom Malaysia (TM) has just upgraded the Bukit Bendera areas like the Upper Station, Summit Area, The Habitat, Upper Road, Upper Tunnel, Lower Tunnel and Moniot Road with high grade fibre optic facilities.
Since the project was completed in December 2020, It will benefit both locals and visitors to the area.
On hand to announce the implementation was Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, State Exco for Infrastructure and Transport, Zairil Khr Johari and Penang Hill Corporation general manager Dato Cheok Lay Leng.
Representing TM was its Head for Government Business, Mohamed Faisal Naina Mohamed.
“With the implementation of this fibre optic enhancement, residents and visitors to Bukit Bendera can experience an 100 times better service from before.
“This project is part of the state goverment’s initiatives to upgrade the quality of life, economy and development of the state,” said Chow in his address.
In the meantime, Cheok thanked TM for the initiative to make the “Smart Penang Hill” a reality.
