The Berjaya Langkawi Resort hosted the premium Ferraton Pere & Fils wine pairing dinner for a select group of guests.

The outstanding French wine labels are from the Rhone Valley region in France.

Around 30 guests gathered at the resort’s beautiful Pahn-Thai outlet which sits on stilts over the waters of the Andaman Sea

They took the opportunity to mingle and take in the cool breeze at the resort.

Also present was the resort’s general manager, Adrian Chung, the managing director of S.H. Maju Sdn Bhd, Alfred Low, the general manager of Pelangi Beach Resort Langkawi, Neoh Kean Boon, the general manager of The Danna, Aditya among others.

The wine tasting session showcased the six-course degustation wine pairing session. Interestingly, even the menu was created out of large leaves collected from the nearby forests.

The smooth flavours of the “Cotes du Rhone Blanc Samorens” was paired with the Classic “Miang-kham” and the Thai Flavour Salmon Ceviche.

The serving was slightly disrupted by a slight drizzle which did not dampen the spirits of the guests and staff as the clear Tom Yum Gai Soup was served along with Spicy Chicken Coconut Dumpling & Coconut Foam served with the “Crozes Hermitage Blanc Le Matinière”.

Next was the Soft Shell Crab with Som Tam accompanied by the “Chateauneuf-du-Pape Le Parvis” while awaiting the mians.

The main show was the Langkawi (LGK) Mangrove Red Snapper with Thai Chili Basil Pesto with Squid Ink Pasta served with the smooth “Saint Joseph Rouge La Source” followed by the “Nua Yang Nam Tok” or Grilled Marinated Meltique Beef

Dress With Thai Red Curry & Jicama Lime Garlic paired with the “Crozes Hermitage Rouge La Calendes”.

The great evening of Thai delights and fine wine was brought together by the team from S.H. Maju Sdn Bhd
