The evening unfolded with the refined expressions of Billecart-Salmon Champagne, one of France’s most revered family-owned Champagne houses, complemented by an exceptional selection of wines and cognacs. Guests were guided through the tasting by Sébastien Papin of Champagne Billecart-Salmon and Matthieu Chapoutier of Tesseron Cognac, whose insights brought depth and narrative to each pour.

Founded in 1818 and stewarded by the same family for over seven generations, Billecart-Salmon is renowned for its purity, finesse and understated elegance. Employing traditional methods, sustainable viticulture and its hallmark slow, cold fermentation, the house produces cuvées of remarkable balance and precision—none more iconic than its celebrated Brut Rosé, one of the most coveted champagnes in the world.

The elegant gathering saw notable figures from the hospitality and business communities, including Derek Gomes, General Manager of The St. Regis Langkawi; Alfred Low, CEO of S.H. Hailing from Alsace, France, Chef Lerouy is celebrated for his intimate counter-dining philosophy and surprise-driven tasting menus, where classical French foundations converge with global influences in bold, inventive compositions—each dish thoughtfully paired to enhance the nuanced character of the wines and champagnes.
