The Amari Johor Bahru embarked on yet another corporate social responsibility (CSR) project when they distributed bubur lambuk to the nearby community.
This time around, they worked with Johor Tourism represented by its director, Sharil Nizam Abdul Rahim and Assistant Director, Nur Maziah Abdul Razak.
Together with Amari Johor Bahru general manager Pauline Chua and her team, they distributed bubur lambuk to passersby and motorists.
The initiative was the brainchild of Chua, who envisions the programme as a recurring tradition for the hotel.
“At Amari Johor Bahru, we believe in the importance of giving back to the community that has continuously supported us. This CSR initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to social responsibility but also embodies the spirit of compassion and solidarity.” added Chua.
In all, the hotel had prepared 200 packs for the distribution. The distribution was extended by another 200 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ to the residents of PPR Melana Indah, Taman Perling, Johor Bahru.
Meanwhile, the annual Ramadan collaboration with Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Johor underscores the hotel’s ongoing dedication to supporting local communities during the holy month.
The special recipe was prepared by the hotel’s executive chef, Hairi Rahman, which consists of rice, meat (usually chicken or beef), vegetables, and spices.
It is simmered to perfection, resulting in a flavorful and nourishing dish that symbolizes unity and generosity.
Each pack of ‘bubur lambuk’ served not only as a nourishing meal but also as a symbol of care and solidarity during this auspicious time.
This initiative marks the third CSR program held by Amari Johor Bahru during the month of Ramadan. Earlier initiatives included hosting 40 orphans from Rumah Perlindungan Fitrah Qaseh for iftar at Amaya Food Gallery on the first day of Ramadan and distributing food supplies to the community of Kampung Sungai Danga, in collaboration with AirAsia JB Hub Crew.
