The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Dr Jane Lomax-Smith AM and her delegation stopped over at several locations in Georgetown, Penang.
Her visit was in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary Of George Town – Adelaide Sister City Relationship celebrations from August 7 till 11, 2024.
Earlier, she also visited the Penang Port Commission, Penang Global Tourism (PGT), the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Penang Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Despite the slight drizzle, the delegation also went on a walkabout around Little India.
The day ended with an official dinner held at the G Hotel Gurney hosted by the Penang Island City Council Mayor Dato A. Rajendran.
Present was the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce president Dato Seri Hong Yeam Wah, Dato Parthiban, president of Penang Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and their team members.
