I would like to take this opportunity today to thank our agencies in Penang which includes 130 officers from both our City Councils and other agencies such as PDRM, BOMBA and APM for their immediate action to assist so as to clear the debris so as to avoid inconvenience to the public, which they cleared in a matter of 4 hours as of last night.
“This shows we have to continue to be prepared to weather the climate crisis which is part and parcel of our agenda, which includes our Penang City Council Smart Environment Strategic Plan for Maintenance of trees whereby since 2021, we have already ensured maintenance of some 40,000 trees on the Island,” said Jagdeep.
