The G Hotel Gurney, Penang has once again been named as the Best Business & Leisure Hotel at the Tourism Industry Awards (TIA) 2026, held last Saturday at the Grand Lagoon Ballroom, Sunway Resort Hotel, Selangor.

The award followed a rigorous judging process that included an on-site assessment and interview conducted by a panel of industry judges.
Organised by the Malaysia Tourism Industry Development Association (MiTDA), the Tourism Industry Awards honour organisations that have demonstrated excellence in service, innovation and significant contributions to Malaysia’s tourism industry. Recipients of the Tourism Industry Awards 2026 are also recognised as “Ambassadors of Malaysia Tourism”, representing the nation’s commitment to hospitality excellence and promoting Malaysia as a world-class tourism destination.
