In the spirit of Ramadan and community giving, Hotel NEO+ Penang collaborated with Penang Island City Council councillor Foo Yu Keong to distribute some 250 containers of bubur lambuk to staff members at Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) enforcement unit along Jalan Timah here.

The initiative was part of the hotel’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at strengthening community ties and showing appreciation to frontline municipal workers.

The bubur lambuk distribution has become an annual tradition for the hotel over the past several years.

Present at the event were Hotel NEO+ Penang General Manager Dato Gulab Mahatam Rai, Penang Island City Council Mayor A. Rajendran, Foo and their respective team members. Also present was John Kim NEO+ Director of Operations and DOSM Chan Phei Ling

Earlier in the day, the hotel’s Food & Beverage team began preparing the traditional Ramadan dish, carefully cooking the bubur lambuk with aromatic spices and flavourful ingredients.

The effort was very much a team endeavour, with staff members working together to portion and pack the dish into containers.

MBPP staff members were delighted to receive the warm meal as they made their way home after work, reflecting the true spirit of Ramadan, sharing, appreciation and community care.
