The Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port) announced the achievement of a significant milestone, celebrating 5 million ferry riders, today, April 30, 2025. 

The momentous occasion was marked with a special event attended by Dato Seri Syed Mohamad bin Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port and Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang Port.

The celebration, held at Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) ferry terminal, recognised the public’s unwavering support and the dedication of the ferry crew. 

To express gratitude to the passengers who contributed to this remarkable milestone, Penang Port distributed goodie bags to ferry riders.

“Reaching 5 million ferry riders is a testament to the vital role the ferry service plays in connecting Penang Island and the mainland. This achievement reflects the trust and reliance the community places in our service, and we are committed to continuously enhancing the ferry experience,” said Dato’ Seri Syed Mohamad bin Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port.
