Penang state leaders led by Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow welcomed the new governor of Penang Tun Ramli Ngah Talib and his wife at the E&O Hotel yesterday.
Chow was joined by Penang State Assembly Speaker Dato Seri Law Choo Kiang, Deputy Chief Minister 1 Dato Dr Mohamad Abdul Hamid, Deputy Chief Minister 11 YB Jagdeep Singh Deo among others.
Chow congratulated Ramli on his appointment while the entourage also had a get-to-know session.
The new Governor’s appointment takes effect May 1, 2025 and is the 9th Governor for Penang.
