To reinforce its commitment to sustainability and seamless travel, Batik Air has reintroduced the exclusive Private Terminal Transfer service for Business Class passengers, now enhanced through a partnership with Leapmotor Malaysia—the first New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand to be introduced by Stellantis Malaysia.

As one of Leapmotor’s pioneering models on the global stage, the innovative, all-new electric Leapmotor C10 is a product of the comprehensive Stellantis and Leapmotor collaboration. It brings a new level of comfort, efficiency, and sophistication to the service, further elevating the travel experience for Batik Air’s Business Class passengers.

The Leapmotor C10 is also the brand’s first global range of battery-electric vehicles (BEV), with Malaysia exclusively being the first country to make its Southeast Asian debut. Classified as a D-segment BEV SUV with a rated 424KM (WLTP) emissions-free driving range, it offers a multitude of features, innovation and technology with an entry point of a C-segment vehicle.

Bestowed with the prestigious French Design Award 2024 and the US MUSE Design Award 2024, the Leapmotor C10 is innovatively designed around space and flexibility. Inside, the 3D ergonomic seat design, incorporated with a bio-based OEKO-Tex Standard 100 textile, is primed to deliver long-term durability and superior comfort.

Additionally, Business Class passengers will be transported in the first-class space and comfort of the Leapmotor C10, enjoying ample room and superior cabin comfort. With a simple one-step recline feature that enhances back support and reduces fatigue, rear occupants can experience segment-leading legroom and headroom.

The 415-litre boot provides substantial cargo space, which expands to a generous 1,410-litres with the rear seats folded, easily accommodating luggage and larger items.

Exclusively available for Batik Air Business Class passengers, this private transfer service ensures a seamless and comfortable journey between the Main Terminal Building and the Satellite Building at KLIA Terminal 1. Passengers will be chauffeured between Gate G1 at the Main Terminal Building and Gate C1 at the Satellite Building, enjoying a smooth and effortless transition.

With the addition of FIVE (5) Leapmotor C10 vehicles dedicated to this service, waiting times will be significantly reduced, further enhancing the premium travel experience. This service also continues to complement the existing bus transfer provided by Malaysia Airports (MAHB) during the temporary suspension of the aerotrain service.

Batik Air Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy said that this partnership  provides an innovative and sustainable solution that enhances the journey for our Business Class passengers. “Travel should be effortless, and at Batik Air, we believe our Business Class guests deserve nothing less. This VIP Transfer Service isn’t just about moving between terminals – it’s about redefining the journey with innovation, care, and a touch of exclusivity. True hospitality begins the moment our guests arrive at the airport, and this initiative ensures that every step of their experience is as smooth, refined, and seamless as the destination that awaits them.”

Isaac Yeo, Managing Director, ASEAN, Stellantis, stated: “The Leapmotor C10 redefines premium travel, delivering unparalleled comfort and sophistication for discerning passengers. As the world’s fourth-largest automaker and a leader in mobility solutions, Stellantis remains committed to innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence. This exceptional electric SUV embodies our vision for environmentally responsible mobility while offering a seamless and refined experience—both on the road and beyond the airport tarmac.”
