
The B-52 Bomber is coming to the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (:LIMA) 2025 this year.
The last time it made its appearance was for LIMA 2019 where it made a fly past for the audience to see and admire. This time around visitors to the event can get up close as the bomber will be on static display.
The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an American long-range, subsonic, jet powered strategic bomber. The B-52 was designed and built by Boeing and has continued to provide support and upgrades.
It has been operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) since the 1950s, and by NASA for nearly 50 years.
The bomber can carry up to 70,000 pounds (32,000 kg) of weapons and has a typical combat range of around 8,800 miles (14,200 km) without aerial refueling.
Other fighter jets which will make their appearance at LIMA are the P-51 Mustang from the United States and the JAS39 Gripen from the Royal Thai Air Force.
As for aerobatic teams, the Russian Knights utilizing their SU-30 and SU-35 fighter jets will be coming. Another team is the Surya Kiran from India which will use their Hawk jets.
Among the other countries participating in LIMA 2025 are China, Singapore, Indonesia, France, the United Kingdom, Australia and Italy.
LIMA 2025 will be held from May 20 to 24, 2025.
