Jordon Lim at the Jazz Hotel Penang has been promoted to the post of general manager at the popular hotel in Tanjung Tokong here.
The appointment took effect March 1, 2025. He was formerly the Hotel Manager at the hotel.
Lim comes with vast experience working in various hotels in a number of capacities in his career.
Lim thanked his top management for their confidence and trust in him.
He had also served in the hospitality industry starting off at the Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Sunway Hotel Georgetown, Berjaya Hotel Times Square (KL) & SSL Traders Hotel (Taiping) in the early days.
Prior to taking up the top job at the Jazz Hotel, he was also at the G Hotel Group in various operations and management in both rooms and F&B capacities.
Meanwhile, Lim is assisted by Frank Lau, the executive assistant manager (EAM) at the property.
Lau has also served in several hotels in Penang in the sales and marketing department. HIs appointment took effect January 1, 2025.
The 30-storey hotel building offers some 255-rooms and suites themed in a jazzy setting.
They are also strategically located a short walk away to the Straits Quay Retail Marina and the adjacent Lotus’s Tanjung Pinang.
