The Bertam Resort & Water Park Penang brings its “Sajian Warisan Istana” banquet spread for guests choosing their resort for the break of fast this year.
More than 160 dishes on five (5) delicious rotation menus await guests.
Chef Mohd Khairusshahri Bin Ghazali, the Director of Culinary and his talented team of Sous Chefs have come up with the “Sajian Warisan Ala Istana” buffet spread this year.
The spread offers a regal feast celebrating the finest Malay delicacies from all 14 states, drawing inspiration from the royal courts.
Among the highlights includes their well-marinated, succulent Kambing Golek Berempah Negeri Perlis Indera Kayangan Tebu Hitam an ideal centerpiece of a grand feast, Ayam Golek Assam Jawa, braised Lamb Shank, and Mendy Rice — all richly infused with traditional herbs and spices, complemented by the flavourful Johor Briyani Gam or Nasi Kebuli Pahang along Daging Gulai
Kawah, Kari Udang Selat Melaka, Ikan Pekasam Perak, under the theme of Juadah Singgahsana.
New additions expected to be on demand include the Pede Pizza, a unique flatbread sourdough pizza topped with local savoury toppings like lamb keema, daging dendeng Pahang.
Other highlights include serabai serawa durian, Ikan Asam Pedas Daun Kesum Melaka, and sotong sumbat pulut Johor.
Other homegrown classics include Sup Gear Box, paired with local Roti Benggali. From the Budi Rasa Temenggong stall, indulge in hot woks of Mee Goreng Mamak, Char Kway Teow Longgok, Mee Rebus Adiwira, and Mee Kari Tapah. A new touch this year is Putu Mayam, served with
grated coconut and brown sugar, or for a savory option, paired with Dalca Mamak Penang.
For a taste of tradition, enjoy freshly fried treats such as Jemput Pisang Tradisi, Jemput Jagung Manis, Goreng Ubi Ketela, and Karipap Menggala, all served piping hot from the wok.
Chinese themed specialties are expertly crafted by Chef Haikal, Chinese Sous Chef, such as Rasa Samudera Laksamana Cheng Ho. Highlights include Sha Pau Kai Fan (claypot rice with minced chicken), Spicy Szechuan Mapo Tofu, and Lok-Lok served with a variety of condiments.
Guests can finish off their meal with a plethora of desserts such as Kuih Lopes Kedah, Kuih Seri Muka Terengganu, Durian Cendol, Kuih Bingka Ubi, Pisang Salai, Dodol Melaka, Wajik Pulut Sabah, Tepung Pelita Perlis, Puding Raja Pahang, Cucur Jawa Sarawak, Kek Lapis Johor, Cendol Durian, Jala Mas, Aneka Bubur Tempatan, and many more delightful offerings.
