By V. Sivaji The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Penang Chapter held its networking dinner and fellowship night at the G Hotel here recently.
Guest-of-honour was the State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai.
Also present was MATTA President Nigel Wong who had travelled from Kuala Lumpur to make his presence.
They were welcomed by MATTA Penang Chapter chairman Ms Carolyn Leong and her committee members.
In her address, Leong applauded the key industry players for their support and encouragement in Penang’s flourishing tourism sector.
“I also wish to thank our State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai for his continued backing and participation in all of our activities.
“It has also been a fast paced learning experience for me too”, added Leong.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner and entertainment during the evening.
