Carlsberg Malaysia held its Northern Region Chinese New Year trade dinner gathering at the W World Penang along Lorong Drury recently.
More than 450 guests from far and near attended the gala event.
The gathering was dubbed “Brewing Prosperity Together” in keeping with the festive season and usher in the Year of the Snake.
Present were distributors, supporters, operators, owners of business establishments and business partners from the Northern Region.
On hand to welcome guests was Carlsberg Malaysia and Singapore managing director, Stefano Clini and his team.
Among them was Gary Tan (Sales Director), Ms Pearl Lai (Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director) along with Toh Swee Huat (Northern Region Sales Manager) and his team members.
Lending support were a list of guests and political figures. Among them were YB Teh Lai Heng (Komtar assemblyman), YB Joseph Ng (assemblyman for Air Itam), YB Phee Syn Tze (assemblywoman for Sungai Puyu), YB Heng Lee Lee (assemblywoman for Berapit), Dato Phee Boon Poh (veteran politician), Penang Chinese Town Hall president Tan Sri Tan Khoon Hai, Penang Island City Council Mayor Dato A Rajendran among others.
Guests were welcomed by a lion dance performance and the God of Prosperity.
In his welcoming address Clini wished an early Chinese New Year greeting and well wishes for their family and friends.
He also thanked the various trade friends and supporters for their continuous and relentless backing.
Guests were entertained by a variety of musical performances followed by a sumptuous dinner presentation.
The merry making went on till late night to rejoice the memorable occasion.
