The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi is delighted to announce that they have been named once again as “Top 20 Resorts in Asia” in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers Choice Awards 2024, rising two spots to #15 from their position at #17 in last year’s awards.

The awards were organised by the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine, aimed at showcasing and highlighting the best of hospitality within Asia. An established travel magazine, the nominees were selected by an expert team made of Conde Nast Traveler’s editors and contributors, with awards determined by over 575,000 readers’ votes.

Mafalda Costa Tavares, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi shared that the win was a testament to the dedication of the ladies & gentlemen working at the fine resort.

“Maintaining our position as one of Asia’s top resorts could not have been possible without the warm and personalized service provided every day by our ladies & gentlemen, and we are thrilled their efforts have been recognized on the global stage,” she said, adding that the resort has had a stellar year so far, having also been awarded “Best Beach or Upcountry Resort in Malaysia” in Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024 and rank as “Best Resorts in Malaysia” in DestinAsian’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2024.

Langkawi island was also honoured as #2 in “The Best Islands in Asia” in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers Choice Awards, something that Mafalda hopes will further boost Langkawi’s international presence as a luxury destination and well-preserved hidden gem.

A rainforest retreat that is cradled by the Andaman Sea, the resort’s iconic and award-winning The Ritz-Carlton Spa boasts Langkawi’s only hammam facility, with the ‘Bubu’-shaped rooftops inspired by the traditional nets used by local fishermen, a design that is also utilized at The Beach Grill, one of the resort’s four distinct dining outlets.
