The magician behind the mesmerizing menu is Pastry Chef, Chef Ben Loh. Inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness month, his pink-themed menu boasts a plethora of sweets and savories, expertly crafted by the pastry and Beach Grill teams.
“Our team worked diligently to create Lychee Rose Panna Cotta, that will transport you to the enchanting environment of Langkawi,” said Chef Loh.
The delicate sweetness of lychee, a tropical fruit native to the region, and the subtle floral notes of rose evoke the tranquility of the island’s pristine beaches and lush jungles while the panacotta’s silky finish provided compliments the bright, refreshing flavors of lychee and rose.
Other highlights in the Pink Afternoon Tea include – Cured Salmon for guests who are looking for savory delights, indulge in our impeccable Cured Salmon with Dill. Cured in-house, this moreish bite showcases the subtle taste of the cured salmon, complemented by a velvety horseradish cream, the briny pop of salmon caviar, and the aromatic touch of fresh dill. Served on a soft, pillowy bun, this appetizer is a blend of textures and piquancy, designed to tantalize your taste buds and elevate this classic dish.
90 Days House Made Air-Dried Beef – Experience the rich flavors of our 90-Day House Made Air-Dried Beef. Carefully air-dried for 90 days, the beef develops a deep, smoky flavor that is complemented by the spicy kick of chipotle aioli and the bright, tangy notes of tomato aspic. Each bite is a journey that is sure to impress even the most discerning palate.
Beetroot Hummus Tart – The gastronomic adventure continues with our Beetroot Hummus Tart, featuring a velvety beetroot hummus. The vibrant color and earthy sweetness of the beetroot are complemented by the tangy notes of sumac and the crisp texture of beetroot chips drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
The Pink October Afternoon Tea is available throughout October from 2p.m. to 5pm., exclusively at The Beach Grill. Each set is priced at MYR 220, with the option to enhance your experience with a glass of champagne for an additional MYR 100 or a bottle of Rose for MYR 500.
In the meantime, guests looking for a light treat can opt for the vibrant Ruby Chocolate Cake, which incorporates the fruity flavor of ruby chocolate, whose natural hue results in the cake looking like a fluffy pink cloud. Layers of velvety vanilla cake are generously filled with a luscious blackberry compote. Available a la carte at Langkawi Kitchen, The Beach Grill and Hai Yan, it is priced at MYR48 and is available throughout October from 2pm. to 5pm.
