MyPPP will go back to basics and aims to help the community in terms of housing matters, identity card applications and other community projects.
The pledge was given by their newly elected president Datuk Seri Maglin Dennis D’Cruz while on his tour of Penang.
“The party which was deregistered in 2018 due to legal complications has again been given the go ahead by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on April 11, 2023.
“We are a multi racial party and welcome anyone regardless of race or religion to become a member of our party,” said Maglin who was speaking to some 120 members at the Cititel Penang yesterday.
He was joined by Penang state president Datuk Loga Bala Mohan and his team.
“We have received a letter from the ROS informing us that we can function as a party again. We had some 21 court cases and now all have been resolved.
“We will now try to reinstate our state level committees soon. Based on records our membership numbers some 600,000 in all of the 13 states in the country. In Penang alone, we have around 22,000 members.
“I will be visiting states like Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and Perak to meet members.

“We also support the national unity government and we want the best for the country. We also call to stop unnecessary politicking which has resulted in affecting the economy of the country,” he added.
PPP was a component of the Barisan National from 1973 to2018. The party was founded by D R Seenivasagam in 1953 in Ipoh, Perak.
