IJM Land has announced that they are commencing the construction works for THE LIGHT Interchange, which includes building new elevated ramps to connect to THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang and widening of Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
The entire construction duration will be from 12 Dec 2022 to Dec 2024.
These improvements will enhance the current infrastructure system and better serve the public.
Phase 1 will involve closure of the Bayan Lepas Bound emergency lane, existing walkway, bicycle lane and median which will be carried out until November 2024.
IJM Land is committed to mitigate the impact of the construction works to the general public by implementing a traffic management plan, during the entire construction
period.
All temporary traffic diversions or road closures will be carried out during off peak hours (10pm to 5am), to reduce the impact to road users.
