Being a caring corporate citizen, Sunway Carnival Mall carried out its obligation to host some 20 children from the Penang Shan Home to an eye testing session recently.
The event was organised with the support and sponsorship of MOG Eyewear.
The children were from Inderawasih branch were invited to the mall for a sweet treat and eye check as part of the mall’s CSR initiative to contribute back to the community.
“As we come together to celebrate the captivating and colourful occasion of Deepavali, let’s not forget the less privileged.
“We wanted to celebrate this special occasion by helping to improve the children’s well-being.
“Hence, we team up with our optical tenant, MOG to have the children’s vision checked at their outlet in the mall.
“We would like to thank the management of MOG for their generosity in conducting free eye checks and sponsoring glasses for the needy children,” said Chai Wen Yew, general manager of Sunway Carnival Mall.
At the end of the evening, the children along with two helpers from the home were presented with goodie bags filled with necessities.
They were also also treated to a sweet and creamy ice cream at Baskin Robbins before they left for their home.
