Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa in Penang celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with their beloved guests, many of whom are regulars who have been coming back year after year.
Although it was challenging during the Covid-19 pandemic when such gatherings were not possible, seeing all the familiar faces, especially on a day when we strive for a world free of bias, is truly uplifting.
The theme for IWD 2023 is #EmbraceEquity, which we aspire to in everything we do.
All ladies at the gathering were each given a stalk of rose, ‘Pevonia’ skincare products and an ‘RM50 off’ voucher for any treatment at Chi, The Spa.
Also present was the resort’s general manager Marcus Christ, HODs and other staff members.
They also joined hands in the cake-cutting and group photo session.
To elevate the awareness of IWD further, Shangri-La Group has created the “Diversity and Inclusion- Unconscious Bias” on-line course through Shangri-La Academy to highlight the importance of eliminating unconscious bias and the advantages of embracing diversity.
This is one way they are upholding our commitment to creating a positive impact in the communities as well as encouraging diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace.
