The first Onyx Hospitality Group branded Amari SPICE Penang held its soft opening today.
The 453-room inventory 5-star hotel also features the world’s first hybrid solar-powered events venue in Penang.
More importantly, the hotel is situated within the Setia SPICE Convention facility which is the city’s venue for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) events.
The opening is timely as it will cater for the delegates of the World Congress on Innovation Technology (WCIT) from Sept 13 to 15, 2022.
The prestigious event will be graced by Prime Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakop, Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow among others.
Meanwhile, the Amari SPICE Penang’s rooms come in the deluxe, premier, executive and executive deluxe categories. As for their suites, they come with the one bedded suite and the exclusive presidential suite.
Among the other facilities at the hotel include the Amaya Food Gallery which offers all-day dining options, serving international and local favourites. The Cascade offers a casual and relaxing setting for coffee/tea and cocktails.
The Aqua Bar (at the swimming pool of course) offers fresh juices and bites. The main attraction is the D’ Observatory Sky Bar with the view of Penang’s skyline with a spectacular two-level seating option.
Other facilities include the Breeze Spa and FIT Centre.
As for small or big meetings and seminar requirements, the hotel offers seven meeting rooms to suit any requirement not forgetting corporate dinner and other gatherings
