YB Jagdeep and YB Rayer with residents
Despite the Penang state assembly being dissolved, assemblymen are still on their job to deliver much needed work for the community and the people.
In line with this, residents in Taman Sinar Pelangi Apartments and Desa Mawar in Sungai Pinang received good news when their old water tanks were replaced and lifts upgradement respectively.
The total value of the project was RM309,000 and RM384,000 borne by the state government on a 80/20 payment arrangement basis.
Present to make the announcement was the caretaker government’s Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo and Member of Parliament for Jelutong, YB RSN Rayer.
“Despite the state assembly having been dissolved, we are still here to do our work. The work is not only here for us but also in the five districts on the island and the mainland.
“We are happy to make this announcement as the state government has carried out many upgrading and replacement projects in the state.
“This is our commitment for the people of Penang,” added Jagdeep.
In the meantime, Rayer also added that despite the dissolution of the state assembly, the assemblymen are still carrying out their duty for the benefit of the people in Penang.
“This is a perfect example of serving the community. Let’s make sure we return them in the up-coming state elections,” he called.
