Morning joggers and walkers at the Botanic Gardens can enjoy hot and piping breakfast at the nearby Waterfall Cafe.
The outlet is a hive of activity as they offer a wide variety of local dishes.
People from all walks of life patronise the eatery for their breakfast and lunch sessions. Thus, there is a muhibbah setting at the cafe.
Their menu consists of nasi lemak, tosai, roti canai, puri, koay teow, capati, apom, mee goreng, nasi goreng, bee hoon, burger and the works.
Their special roti canai even comes with pickled onionsĀ and dhal.
As for drinks, there is a long list of hot and cold beverages. You can even enjoy fresh coconuts or coconut shakes.
The al fresco seating area offers a cool setting in the midst of a green and calm surroundings.
On occasion, one will also catch a glimpse of monkeys which “patrol” the area.
According to the partner of the eatery, Ananth Raj, they are the fourth generation running the business.
“It is our family business and we are proud to carry on the tradition. We also get a lot of VIP guests to our restaurant. They like to enjoy the cool and relaxing setting,” said Ananth to Penang Hyperlocal.
As for lunch, they also offer a banana leaf lunch with all the vegetables and toppings.
