Pak Shaik aka Santana at Pinang Restaurant & Bar

With his long shoulder length hair, local entertainment Pak Shaik aka Santana surely fits the bill as a cool entertainer.
The veteran guitarist and crooner is now performing at the Pinang Restaurant and Bar at the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort.
He started his career playing music professionally since 1980’s with several full bands, playing bass and vocal in clubs and restaurants around Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
Among their performances were at the Eden Restaurant, The Ship, Hippodrome to name a few.
With the spotlight on solo performance nowadays, he is now more focused on playing alone on the guitar.
“Although I miss playing with a big band, I have to accept the change in time to follow my passion in the industry.
“Now, I have my own music studio, Rajawali Studio where I train and manage a few bands and singers and also do recordings for demos and video clips for all kinds of purposes like live streaming, YouTube video and even produce albums with my independent label ANZ records”, he added.
Among his repertoire are those from Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton, John Denver, Carlos Santana, Beetles, Bee Gees and many more evergreen favourites.

Meanwhile, the Pinang Restaurant and Bar has just launched its new ala carte menu featuring several new and trendy dishes. It is a combination of local and Western time tested favourites.
