A 50-member strong delegation consisting of beauty industry professionals are on a trip to Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, to attend the World Chinese Beauty Industry Conference.
They are led by Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman, Dato Yeoh Soon Hin.
The visit is also in conjunction with the 50th year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.
During the visit, Yeoh also met with Pan Shuang, Director General of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce.
Director Pan warmly welcomed the Malaysian delegation and introduced the province’s characteristics, especially the significant achievements made under the Comprehensive Revitalization New Breakthrough Three-Year Action Plan.
Yeoh also expressed his hope that the economic and trade exchange activities would serve as a chance to foster deeper cooperation between both sides and create a mutually beneficial future.
“Since this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, I conveyed Malaysia’s strong desire to deepen cooperation with Liaoning in tourism and economic fields.
“We also propose enhancing collaboration between ports in Liaoning and Penang Port, opening air routes between Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Shenyang and cultural and tourism cooperation”, added Yeoh.
Yeoh also invited stakeholders from all sectors in Liaoning to participate in Malaysia’s Tourism Year 2026 activities and to engage in joint tourism and trade exchanges.
