In a significant move for Penang and Langkawi’s hospitality landscape, three well-known hotels — Bayview Beach Resort Penang, Bayview Hotel Georgetown Penang and Bayview Hotel Langkawi — are set to be rebranded under The Ascott Limited, a leading international lodging owner-operator.

The properties will undergo major refurbishments before reopening with refreshed brand identities: Bayview Beach Resort Penang will be rebranded as Ascott Batu Ferringhi Penang, Bayview Hotel Georgetown Penang will reopen as Oakwood Georgetown Penang and the Bayview Hotel Langkawi will take on the new identity of FOX Hotel Langkawi.

All three hotels are expected to commence renovation in 2026 and reopen progressively by 2028.
