The Zen reaches 90 percent completion level
The Penang state government’s affordable homes programme received another boost as another 1,200 units will be completed soon.
The “Zen” project undertaken by Asia Green Construction Sdn Bhd is situated on a seven-acre plot here in Persiaran Bayan Mutiara.
What more, the project is in the 90 percent completion stage and will offer homes measuring 850 sq ft each.
Present to announce the progress on the project was Penang caretaker government’s committee chairman for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning, Mr Jagdeep Singh Deo and his team.
Also present was Asia Green’s director Ms May Tan and her team.
Among the facilities are swimming pools, gym, badminton courts, community halls, multi-storey car park and recreational space to benefit the future residents there.
“We are happy to announce that this project will be completed by early 2024. I am also happy to note that all of the 1,200 units have all been sold out.
“My office will also monitor to ensure that the best quality and finishing is always carried out. We will not compromise on this,” added Jagdeep.
He also shared that the affordable homes project numbers have now reached 152,263 or 69.2 percent of the target of 220,000 units set.
“This is also a good example of a public / private partnership to benefit Penangites as a whole.
“I hope to be back soon to hand over the keys to the homes to the new owners,” added Jagdeep.
