The new Lone Pine Penang, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
The iconic Lone Pine, Penang, situated on the sandy shores of the island reopened on July 1, 2023, following an extensive renovation to unveil a captivating transformation as a Tribute Portfolio Resort.

Lone Pine’s story began in 1948 when it opened as the first hotel in Batu Ferringhi with just 10 rooms, owned by physician Dr. Albert Stanley Mckern. The resort pays homage to a mid-century residence embracing the quintessential elements of the Malayan mansion. Reminiscent of a personal sanctuary,
guests are invited to relax and immerse themselves in an atmosphere evocative of Dr. McKern’s passion as a traveler and avid collector of art. Lone Pine, Penang features 90 spacious rooms, with 16 of the rooms offering a combination of courtyard and garden views, and 74 with private balconies. The resort also features an outdoor and a children’s pool, with sun-loungers and pool umbrellas.

The resort also offers 3 event rooms, totalling 341 sqm of event space for all kinds of events and gatherings.
