Those who have been missing out on their swimming, can now do so from tomorrow (Monday, August 23) under the Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan.
This is irrespective of whether one is vaccinated or not.
However, swimming pools at hotels do not apply here as they are under the purview of the Ministry of Tourism. Arts and Culture (MOTAC).
“Prior appointment must be made before one goes for his/her swimming session.
“They must also swim solo and not in groups,” said state exco for Youth and Sports, Soon Lip Chee in a press statement.
There must also be only 30 people at the pool at any one time at the Penang Island City Council Swimming Complex in Relau. They are open from 7am to 10am and from 4pm to 9pm.
