Some 700 bikers from across the country converged at the Bayview Beach Resort yesterday in support of a charitable initiative known as “Unity Ride 2.0,” demonstrating how the motorcycling community can come together for a meaningful cause.
The ride drew participants not only from various parts of Malaysia but also from neighbouring Singapore and Thailand, reflecting a spirit of regional camaraderie and goodwill. The objective of the ride was to raise funds in aid of a school in Nibong Tebal, with riders uniting under a shared mission to contribute towards improving educational opportunities for the students there.

Earlier in the morning, the convoy of motorcycles was officially flagged off from Gunung Cheroh in Ipoh by Ipoh Barat Member of Parliament YB Kulasegaran. The flag-off ceremony set the tone for the day’s journey, as riders prepared to travel together in a show of solidarity while supporting the charitable cause.
Adding to the spectacle was the impressive lineup of high-performance motorcycles that took part in the ride. Among the notable brands represented were Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and BMW, alongside many other top superbike models. The powerful machines, ridden by enthusiasts who share a passion for motorcycling, created a vibrant and colourful convoy along the route
Beyond the thrill of the ride itself, the event underscored the generous spirit often found within the biking fraternity, with participants willingly giving their time and resources to support the fundraising effort.

In the evening, the riders and guests gathered for a dinner reception hosted at the hotel’s ballroom. The event served as an opportunity for participants to unwind after the day’s ride while celebrating the success of the initiative.
The evening’s programme featured lively entertainment including singing and dancing performances, as well as a lucky draw and other engaging activities that added to the festive atmosphere. The gathering also provided a platform for riders from different backgrounds and countries to strengthen friendships and share their common passion.
Overall, “Unity Ride 2.0” was not only a showcase of impressive motorcycles and enthusiastic riders, but more importantly a testament to how a shared hobby can be harnessed for a noble cause — bringing communities together while extending a helping hand to those in need.
