Every year without fail, the St Giles Wembley Penang hosts underprivileged children along with corporate and governmental agencies to a break-of-fast session.

According to its general manager Dato Tony Goh, the initiative other than appreciating corporate and governmental sector representatives is more for the children from the various homes to mingle and get to know people in the community.

Also present were the heads of the various departments and the team from the sales department.

“With a heart full of gratitude, I welcome everyone to the Rahmat Ramadan Iftar gathering. Your presence whether from the corporate sector, security forces such as the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Fire and Rescue Department, government representatives, as well as from orphanages and the Muslimah Insaniah Organization of Penang is truly appreciated.

“At St. Giles Wembley, Penang, we are honored to host this event, which aims to bring together people from all walks of life in a spirit of warmth and unity. We extend our highest appreciation for your continued support and commitment, which we deeply value.

“”We are mindful of our role in the society and this corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme is among the highlights in our calendar”, said Goh who is also the chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotels Penang Chapter.

As guests enjoyed the special spread put out by the F&B department, they also got a chance to mingle and get to know each other.

Towards the end of the evening, Goh presented duit raya and hampers to the children and representatives of the various homes.

The gathering also served to remind us of the importance of noble values in life and strengthen our bonds with one another.
