The St. Giles Wembley, Penang is joining hands with the Penang Hospice Society this Pink October for “Shine Bright in Pink 2026”, a month-long campaign to raise awareness and support the important services of the Society.
The campaign was officially launched today at St. Giles Wembley, Penang with representatives from the Penang Hospice Society and the St. Giles Wembley, Penang team coming together to place the first Pink Ribbon sticker on the hotel’s special lobby installation, marking the official kick-off of the campaign.
The first sticker marks the beginning of a collective effort throughout October, as hotel guests, diners, colleagues and members of the community are invited to contribute and add their own Pink Ribbon stickers to the installation. As more stickers are placed throughout the month, the ribbon will gradually take shape, symbolising the strength of community support and the importance of coming together for a meaningful cause.
At the heart of this year’s campaign is the message “Together We Complete the Ribbon”, inviting everyone to play a part in making a difference. From 1 to 31 October 2026, members of the public can make a contribution of any amount at the hotel’s Front Desk or participating F&B outlets. In appreciation of their support, donors will receive a special Pink Ribbon sticker to place on the hotel’s lobby installation.
Each sticker represents a contribution towards the campaign and, collectively, the growing ribbon will serve as a visual reminder of the community’s support throughout Pink October. All funds raised through the campaign will be donated to support the services of the Penang Hospice Society, contributing towards its ongoing work and services for those in need.
