Hot piping bubur lambuk was given out to motorists passing along Magazine Road here in Georgetown.

The gesture was the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by the St Giles Wembley Hotel here.

Leading the team was general manager Dato Tony Goh who is also the chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Penang Chapter.

In all, a total of 300 packets of the dish was given out to passers-by and motorists.

Lending support were staff from the various departments of the hotel who joined hands to take part in the event.

“This is the second year our hotel is giving out Bubur Lambuk in keeping with the spirit of harmony and fostering friendship. The bubur lambuk was well received by the members of the public,” said Goh who was clad in a traditional Baju Melayu.
