In line with Penang Vision 2030, the Penang State Government has invested in assets and equipment to further propel its goals.
The recent procurement by the Seberang Perai City Council includes six new skylift which will come into good use for pruning and trimming trees which pose a danger during major storms.
Present at the launching ceremony yesterday was State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo along with council mayor Datuk Azhar Arshad and his team.
“Inline with our Vision Penang 2030 to become a Greener, Smarter and Family Focused State, the six new skylifts at the Seberang Perai City Council which I have tested personally, will come in handy for the use of the council.
“This is part and parcel of their 526 assets necessary to execute our Vision. I am also happy to note with these new equipment, more landscaping work will be carried out including pruning and trimming of trees which can pose a danger during major storms.
“We also appreciate our council team for assisting during the recent Johor floods which shows our stronger relationship under our Unity Government.
“In the meantime, we are confident the new Unity Federal Government will continue to assist our Councils with more budget and incentives to look into procuring more assets that can assist them in delivery of optimum services to the people of Penang,” said Jagdeep at the event.
He also took a lift in the new skylift along with the mayor to test its capabilities.
