Tony Goh giving away the winner’s trophy
The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Penang Chapter’s inter-hotel football tournament concluded in high drama.
After slogging it out in the finals, the talented team from Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort team emerged the champions as they edged DoubleTree by Hilton Penang.
On hand to give away the trophies was MAH Penang chairman, Tony Goh, Ben Ho vice chairman and John KIm, MAH secretary and hotel manager of Mei Hotel.
The tournament had attracted 17 teams representing the various hotels and resorts in Penang.
Matches will be played at the University Sains Malaysia Kopa Arena pitch from 8am to 6pm.
Among the teams which took part are the Lexis Suites Penang, The Blanket Hotel, Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Amari SPICE Penang. DoubleTree by Hilton Penang, .Ixora Hotel, Light Hotel Penang, Ascott Hotel Gurney, Golden Sands Resort, Angsana Teluk Bahang, Eastin Hotel Penang, Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Cititel Penang, G Hotel, Bayview Georgetown and Rainbow Paradise.
The organising committee from the Lexis Suites Penang was led by Masrizal Hashim and Ahmad Suffian Ahmad Rajli.
First runner-up position went to DoubleTree by Hilton Penang
