Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Penang has been named the winner in the hotel category of the prestigious National Occupation Health and Safety Award (NOSH).
Organised by the Ministry of Human Resources Department of Occupational Safety and Health, this award recognises individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding performance and achievements in ensuring occupational safety and health in the workplace.
The resort’s Fire Life Safety Manager, Ezani Rayzon, was honoured to receive the award from the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, YB Datuk Ts Mustapha Sakmud.
The ceremony, attended by industry players and business community members, celebrated the resort’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
“We are thrilled to have won this award,” said Suleiman TAR, Director of Communications at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang.
“This achievement is a testament to our team’s excellent cooperation and hard work, who have consistently applied an innovative approach to ensure our guests’ and staff’s safety and wellbeing. NOSH serves as the highest forum within the Human Resources Ministry for discussions on issues related to the direction, national policy, and implementation of occupational safety and health.
Its formation by the Human Resources Ministry underscores the importance of making safe work practices an integral part of Malaysian culture.
