The Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort marks a milestone as it celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Not many hotels and resorts can qualify to get into this elite category and the years it has clocked in.
The resort which opened its doors on November 9, 1973 is among the pioneer holiday destinations to start operations along the Batu Ferringhi stretch.
At that time, they were the first and only 5-star hotel or resort in the country.
They have had the honour of hosting families, holiday makers, politicians, kings, film stars, diplomats, foreign dignitaries and many more.
In commemoration of their golden jubilee, the resort had invited the first 50 couples who tied the knot at the resort in the early 70s and 80s.
They received overwhelming responses from couples all over the country.
These couples were offered a complimentary 3-day staycation as a token of appreciation.
The couples only had to provide proof of their wedding at Rasa Sayang by presenting images, photographs or invitation cards from their weddings.
Every eligible couple will also receive an exclusive souvenir.
“The effort is our way of reconnecting with our past guests and expressing our gratitude for choosing Shangri-La Rasa Sayang as their wedding venue during those memorable years.
