Seasoned hotelier, Yap Lip Seng has been appointed as the chief executive officer of the
RIYAZ Hotels & Resorts.
Known to be a natural leader, firm in command and strong in execution, Yap brings with him an extensive knowledge and vast work experiences within the Hospitality Industry, Government Ministries and Agencies as well as Tourism Organizations.
In his former role as the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Selangor, he was positioned to head the Secretariat of the National Association and in his key roles, he managed and coordinated thirteen chapters of the Association across Malaysia including operations, events, finance, communication, research and development, public relations as well as for MAHTEC, the wholly owned-training arm of the Association.
He has also ventured in the hotel industry with Resorts World Genting and developed his career further where he has been appointed as the General Manager for Resorts World Langkawi, to lead change and manage the non-gaming asset of the holding company independently where his key achievements that were recorded during his tenure where he had successfully turned around finances into profitability in the first year through effective sales and revenue management, developed new and enhanced existing sales channels, executed and managed successfully key market events as the official venue such as the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition, maintained management certifications including ISO 9001:2008 and HACCP on Food Safety and MS14001 Environmental Management, held Chairmanship of the Kedah/Perlis MAH state chapter for two terms and led the state industry in championing common tourism matters.
In his most recent venture, Yap was appointed as the Head of Partnerships for Travelwalla, a brand new Online Travel Partner for the Hospitality Industry where his key role was to onboard partners and deliver Travelwalla as the travel partner of choice commencing with Malaysia and the South East Asia and in the long-term goal; worldwide.
