The highest elevated highway in the country, Bukit Kukus Highway will host the “Run for Fund” marathon on Saturday, May 7, 2023.
The event is organised by the Lions Club of Penang (Host) and is expected to draw some 3,000 participants and will help those with special needs.
They will help fund the new school building of SRJK Aik Hua Primary School for a sensory training room and sensory integration room special education classroom.
The 5.7km route will also offer runners a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
Present to announce the commendable event was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Yeoh Soon Hin at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre.
Yeoh is also the state assemblyman for Paya Terubong.
Also present were sponsors in the likes of International College Penang (INTI) led by their chief executive, Ms Hemalatha Muruguah and representatives from redONE Telecom.
Also present was organising chairman Onnie Goh, advisor Dato Ooi Chao Syhuan and club president Colbert Ooi.
