Royale Chulan Hotel in George Town carried out its corporate social responsibility (CSR) project during Ramadan by hosting children from Rumah Jagaan Nasyiatul Aisyiyah to break fast recently.
About 20 of the children and caretakers from the home were treated to a delectable buka puasa buffet dinner hosted by the hotel.
The children were also presented with duit raya, goody bags and balloons.
The orphanage is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation that provides care and shelter for abandoned children, orphans and underprivileged children.
In addition to the buka puasa event, the hotel is also currently running the hotel’s annual Kasih Ramadan charity campaign.
This charity campaign encourages their hotel patrons and guests to purchase the Ketupat cards priced at RM10 each.
The cards are then hung on the Kurma Tree located at the Hotel Lobby.
All the funds collected from the campaign will also be channelled to Rumah Jagaan Nasyiatul Aisyiyah.
The Kasih Ramadan campaign is a joint program whereby all the hotel establishments under the Royale Chulan Hotels and Resorts will simultaneously run the annual campaign to raise funds for charitable homes or welfare organisations.
