It was a night of sheer retro music when the Rockafellers @ Straits Quay hosted a one night only retro promotion.

The show was hosted by six deejays for six hours, non-stop.

Frontlining the evening were six deejays from Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang to spin favourite numbers from the seventies, eighties and nineties era.

It was down memory lane for most guests as the six deejays played pure retro music without taking a break.

The sellout crowd were seen enjoying and dancing to every number being played. And why not as these were the songs they partied during their impressionable era.

The gathering of retro “greats” was brought together by DJ Jay Subramaniam who is another legend in the retro world in the country

Among the deejays taking the console were DJ Damian, DJ Spike, DJ Golden Monkey, DJ James Naras aka the “Preacher”, DJ Ian Blake and DJ Eflexx.

Lending support were DJ Jd, DJ Jude Nagalingam, DJ RF who has the honour of being the deejay at the Study Disco at the former Mutiara Resort Penang and also the Cinta Disco in Rasa Sayang Resort here.

But more importantly, guests also had a chance to meet up with their long lost buddies from the retro era and reminisce the good old days.

The house was filled with numbers from Kool and the Gang, Michael Jackson, Milli Vanilli, Dr Alban  Shalamar, U2, Talking Heads, Prince, A-ha, Madonna, Spandau Ballet, Commodores, AC DC, Tears for Fears, Billy Ocean, Fleetwood Mac and lots more.
