The former Resorts World One cruise ship is now Star Navigator, following the transition of Resorts World Cruises to the iconic StarCruises brand, which was the first Asian cruise line to start Asian cruising more than 30 years ago. Star Navigator will homeport in Keelung for nearly eight months, from 28 March to 14 November 2025, offering weekly roundtrip sailings to Japan and South Korea.

With a total of thirteen unique itineraries, guests can select from forty-one 3 Day sailings to destinations like Ishigaki, Miyakojima, Naha, or enjoy Weekend High Seas cruises; eight 4 Day sailings to Naha and Ishigaki or Miyakojima; and twenty-five 6 Day sailings that cover various places in Japan and South Korea. Guests can choose from a variety of unforgettable 3, 4 and 6 Day cruises to top destinations across Japan and Korea.

The Star Navigator cruise ship will kick off its season with two exclusive “Cherry Blossom Cruises” in Spring, offering guests the opportunity to witness the breathtaking beauty of cherry blossoms in some of Japan’s most scenic locations. Highlights include the iconic Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan’s most beautiful castles; Mount Yoshino in Kagoshima, home to 30,000 cherry blossom trees; and Tateyama Park in Nagasaki. All guests will receive one free “Hanami Excursions,” where they’ll join locals in festive picnics under the cherry trees, with free flow of sake and snacks, enjoying the magical moments and one of the best life-time experiences under thousands of cherry trees in Japan.

A special highlight will be the Osaka (via Wakayama) cruises, which offer guests the opportunity to attend the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, held once every five years. The Expo is a global celebration and a must-see event for travellers. Cruisers will also have the chance to explore Kochi, a stunning city on Shikoku Island, rich in history and natural beauty. Highlights include Kochi Castle, the lively Hirome Market and other cultural landmarks.

In addition to Japan, Star Navigator will offer itineraries to South Korea, including the iconic Jeju Island and the bustling city of Busan. Jeju Island is known for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, waterfalls, and cultural sites such as Seongeup Folk Village. Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city, is famous for its beautiful beaches, vibrant markets like Jagalchi Fish Market, and scenic attractions such as Gamcheon Culture Village and Beomeosa Temple.

To close out the Star Navigator’s season from Keelung in November, two exceptional “Fall Foliage Cruises” will take guests on an unforgettable journey through South Korea and Japan.

The cruises will showcase the stunning autumnal transformation, with vibrant hues of red, orange and yellow, set against perfect fall weather for an idyllic and picturesque experience.

Travelers from other parts of Asia can easily fly to Taipei and embark on the cruise from Keelung to Korea and Japan without any need for visas. For those wishing to extend their journey, there’s the option to combine the cruise with a few days of exploration in Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, creating a truly immersive 6 to 8 Day vacation experience.

Star Navigator is being fully renovated to StarCruises standards and has undergone significant upgrades, including enhanced lighting, sound, and entertainment systems, ensuring an even more engaging and immersive experience. As part of the StarCruises brand, Star Navigator will feature a lively onboard atmosphere, with exciting theme events and parties such as the Foam and Rain Party and the Red Carpet Party, along with a variety of other exciting activities.
